Who We Are
ORGANIZATION
Butuan City Charities Foundation of Southern California (BCCF) is a nonsectarian, nonpolitical, and nonprofit charitable 501(c)(3) tax exempt corporation composed of philanthropic individuals who are concerned about Butuan and are committed to helping families in poor communities improve their lives.
We partner with local, national, and international organizations and are not managed by any governmental agency or religious group. Our independence affords us flexibility and credibility wherever and with whomever we work.
BCCF is efficient, independent and accountable. More than 95 percent of our resources support program and project activities. Less than 5 percent go toward administrative expenditures.
MISSION
To bring caring individuals together to channel all forms of aid to the needy of Butuan, Philippines, and to network with other sources.
- To help meet the socioeconomic and health needs of indigent Butuanons;
- To facilitate donations of hospital/medical equipment and instructions, well-equipped ambulance, medical supplies, and services from any medical and surgical specialist to perform needed services to the indigents needing said services or operations;
- To enhance learning abilities of Butuanons of all ages and academic levels by providing reading materials and other educational tools; and
- To guide Butuanons to immigration, employment, housing, education, and health opportunities by providing relevant information.
Ultimately, it is the goal of the foundation to spread this sentiment to other regional organizations to encourage establishment of charitable foundations for their own cities, municipalities, or provinces and eventually, hopefully all over the country.
